The RTS pIVEX E. coli vectors are designed for high-yield cell-free expression of His6-tagged proteins using a broad range of RTS expression kits.

The two vectors contain all regulatory elements necessary for in vitro expression based on a combination of T7 RNA polymerase and RTS expression lysates. They enable the attachment of a His6-tag in different orientations at the C- and N-terminus of the protein. Cloning into RTS pIVEX His6-tag vectors allows optimal protein expression with high yields.

Quality Control

in vitro transcription/translation protein expression products are manufactured using quality chemicals and materials that meet our high standards. All product components are subjected to rigorous quality assurance testing process:

• Component testing: each component is tested to ensure the composition and quality meet stated specifications.
• Performance testing: each product is tested to ensure it meets the stated performance specification.

Each pIVEX vector included in this product encodes a hexa-histidine fusion tag to allow easy detection and purification of the expressed protein. pIVEX 2.3d is used for fusing genes to a C-terminal His6-tag, pIVEX 2.4d is used for fusing genes to an N-terminal His6-tag. For expression without a tag, pIVEX 2.3d can be used in combination with the addition of a stop codon at the end of the gene.
